Physical Therapy

The Profession

Physical therapy is a unique and vital health profession concerned with health promotion, prevention of physical disabilities and the habilitation/rehabilitation of persons disabled by pain, disease, or injury.

Physical therapy is defined as the examination, evaluation, intervention, and prevention of physical disability, movement dysfunction and pain resulting from injury, disease, disability, or other health related conditions. My Background

I graduated from PT school in 1994 and have practiced mainly in Hospitals and Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers.  I am a member of the CPTA (California Physical Therapy Association) and the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association).  Feel free to visit those websites to learn more about my profession!  http://www.ccapta.org   http://www.apta.org

Even though I made the decision to stay home and raise Alex and Connor, I am attending conferences to stay current and learn new things, and I am continuing my support of the CPTA and APTA as they work to make advances in the field of physical therapy.  I'll most likely go back to work part time when the children start going to school.
